THE ACCOMMODATION

During your stay your accommodation is in comfortable roundhouses which are in the village although within a separate area - a village within a village if you like. The rooms are comfortable but basic with en-suite shower rooms and mosquito netting. Each room can accommodate 2 / 3 people. If you are joining us as a single person and we need to "pair you up" for accommodation purposes then we will of course let you know.

Accommodation for the gap year projectsWithin the "Project sub-village" there is a bar and eating area as well as some shady 'Bantaba' area's. These places are great for relaxing in and as a gathering / social area.

Local staff are employed by the charity to assist your stay including cooking your meals each day and one of the founders of the Charity will be present to plan your programme with you as well as advise and support you throughout your stay.

Three meals per day are included, food is adequate, a mixture of local and European dishes, but some what basic. Drinks can be purchased from the bar at a reasonable cost.

Electricity within this area is supplied by a small Solar System, hair dryers and hair irons etc are therefore not recommended. The water supply is via the Bore-Hole although for drinking you will need bottled water.

The area is very comfortable and safe, the Founders of the Charity also live within this area and at least one of them will be present throughout your stay.

You may have many questions and queries and we will be more than happy to answer these. Further, once your booking is confirmed we will e-mail you all the information you will need including such things as;
What to bring and not to bring,
Health issues,
Passport information,
Malaria prevention,
Adequate Insurance cover,
What to wear and not to wear,
Credit cards / mobile phones etc etc..
